Can I run Live and on al local server for testing?

We just started to use the template to build the site and I would like to install the template on my local Synology NAS to test functions without damaging the original build. this would be a great help as I'm new to Wordpress.
Is this possible or is there a similar demo version?

    Hello Paul,
    In this case, you should install another wordpress with betheme there - but create a 'subdomain' or 'subfolder'
    Use the same license key, because you can register unlimited subdomains with one license key, as long as the main domain is registered under the same key.
    This also applies to subfolder on localhost installations.
