Sub-Header Background Parallax

I'm running the Lab 2 demo theme as my starting point. The default sub-header background does a parallax but when I set a custom image the parallax goes away. In the sub-header background settings there is no option to set a parallax, just the standard positioning options. How do I get this background to be set to parallax?

    Hey,
    the way it has been done, it that the subheader is transparent and the image behind it is a header background that is set to parallax. As you can see, each page has the same background that is set in the header options in theme options.
