Colors are not changing in footer background

Hi, I have set the background in the footer to a certain color. But the footer will not display the color I have chosen in the Betheme Options, colors, footer. 

The other parts of the website display the proper background color. 

Also I have set it to have white text, but the text comes out grey. This is causing a lot of problems for me. I hope you can help. 

Can you tell me what the problem might be? I have checked everything.

maybe it's cache? Or maybe you use one of pre-defined skins instead of custom?
