What code do I need to use to change the background colour for content in the visual editor?

Hi,

this can be done within custom css. You must setup class name for item and then define custom css under Theme options > Custom CSS & JS > Custom CSS section.

Also, how do I make the background colour fill the whole space, the same height as the other elements in the row?

Also when the background colour is there for there to be space between the colour and the text like padding or a margin

So this is exactly what we explained in previous message. You must setup classes for items and then play with custom css so we don't understand what exactly is not clear. You don't know how to do this or what? If you don't know, then setup class name for one of those items and let us know.

@muffingroup Okay I have set up .bgone and .bgtwo

.bgone {

    background-color: #ffd59a;

}

.bgtwo {

    background-color: #d3e8fc;

}

Is the code... I don't know how to make the text have a padding and be the same height as the images on either side. Thanks for your help

This is exactly what you should do and as we see, background works fine. But if you don't want vertical paddings/margins between columns, then you must play with section item settings.

It's a bit hard to explain, I would like there to be space from the edge of the background to the text, at the moment the text is right next to the background colour. Also in the Deck of Dreams blue section, the colour of the background stops after the text, I would like it to go all the way down to the bottom of the image next to it.

Is this possible? If so, what code do I need to add.
