Variable Products - Multiple Issues

edited January 2020 in WooCommerce
1.  If I enable "Catalogue Mode" under the Muffin Options -> Blog, Portfolio and Shop, my variable product's attributes are lost on the product page.  Shouldn't customers still be able to see product variation prices even though the Add to Cart button was removed?

2.  I have "Enable stock management" unchecked, on the category page for my variable products, they are blurred out and state "Sold out"

  • Hello,
    1. Yes, it should but the catalog mode disables certain functions in the Woocommerce plugins and this is treated as a whole, so it is disabled with the button.
I will ask the developers what they think, maybe something has changed.
    2. This must be a plugin misconfiguration since we do not change how the plugin works. Check out this article I have found, it should clarify.

This is also what I have found:
When you convert a simple product to a variable product, it does not copy the price from the parent product into the variations. Instead, it leaves the price of the variation blank.

Apparently, this then gets reported as out of stock on the product page regardless of any other setting relating to stock management, including turning stock management off at the store level.

The solution (hair pulling and screaming for 6 hours) is to update the price for each variation.

It would be good to mention that in the Woocommerce documentation.
