Betheme registration issue

I'm having trouble registering my theme. I get this warning message when I enter the activation code:

"Purchase code already used. Please deregister purchase code and remove theme folder on: staging.domain.com"

Note that I deregistered the theme on the staging instance and removed the theme folder, but I still get this message.

I have contacted my hosting provider and they said there are no issues from their end and advised I contact you (the theme developer).
