For post Layout right sidebar - sidebar drop down is empty cannot select blog

I want to have blog menu on right sidebar on a single post and i cannot create one please help on this idebar drop down is empty cannot select blog in sidebar field

Actually i want to show categories menu with search for all posts

Hello,

You have to select the sidebar (which have item inside it), on the main blog page in the dropdown menu and select the side where it should appear

I done that as you said but when i select right sidebar my dropdown menu is empty

And i am using "hosting" template, i tried everything you say but dropdown is empty i cannot select blog option

1) Did you create the sidebar for blog?

Theme Options > Sidebars

2) Did you populate the sidebar with content?

Appearance > Widgets

After that, the sidebar will be available to select while editing the page.
