Hi Pablo, thanks for your response, however the link mywebsite.com/... doesn't work.
I checked the permalinks stuff but it doesn't seem concerning about whay i'm looking for: when I try to add a child to a menu page, it only shows post-categories, not portfolio-categories, see screenshot:
Yes, it won't work because it's just a example link - I wanted to show you how it could look, you should insert your URL with your category slug and name.
As I said, you will have to create a "Custom Link" in the menu and provide the link to the category.
Somehow it seems to work, thanks. But, once i have mywebsite.com/portfolio-types/category/ (renamed as you said) and I click on a project, url switches to mywebsite.com/portfolio-item/item, when it should be mywebsite.com/portfolio-types/category/item. What could I do? Thank you.
As I understand now, is that you want to insert a link to the category page into the menu, so you should get into the category page and paste the link of this page into the menu link item as a custom link in appearance > menus
It is not possible to change the menu link by itself by entering certain page.
If I did not understand something correctly, please explain me it once more.
So, let me try one more time, (forget about the menu, I solved that part as you can see hovering the menu tab "prodotti").
As you can see in "prodotti" page (https://www.clanp.it/prodotti/) I somehow managed to create three categories. Each one will open the specific page, for example "accessori" (https://www.clanp.it/prodotti/accessori/) where you can find many items catogorized as that. The problem is, when I click on the item (it's a portfolio item) the url becomes https://www.clanp.it/portfolio-item/banco-bar/, when it would be more logical to be https://www.clanp.it/prodotti/accessori/banco-bar/. I just need to know if there is a way to set the portfolio-item in "accessori" page as a child of his category, in order to have a hierarchy like: Page - category - product.
