Plugin Conflict

Hello! I am currently building a site for a client and I have run into the following issue. There is a plugin on my client's site that is a priority plugin for his business, however every time I try and activate the plugin - the site crashes and I get this error. Fatal error: Call to undefined function show_message() in /home6/realpeo2/public_html/winningtheinnergame/wp-content/plugins/leadpages/lbset.php on line 52

I have contacted the plugin developer. They ran through some scenarios and troubleshot everything they could think of and referred me to the hosting company. The plugin is not supported on a Windows server so I checked with the hosting to see if they could move it to a Linux server, trouble is it is already on a Linux server so that isn't the conflict either. They referred me back to the WordPress theme itself. SO here I am contacting you to see if you can help determine why this plugin will not work on this site.

Here is the plugin in question https://support.leadpages.net/hc/en-us/articles/203522080-Installing-the-WordPress-Plugin it theoretically shouldn't be an issue. Again I don't know what is causing this plugin to crash the site every time its activated.

Here is the URL to the site. http://winningtheinnergame.com/

Please advise anyway you can, thanks so much in advance!

  • Hey,

unfortunately we do not support 3rd party plugins and in this case you must contact with plugin's author.

    Thanks for understanding!
  • But every time I try and fix this with the plugin developer they say its a theme issue. So can you at least give me something? I am getting the run around with everyone..
  • This is not theme issue at all. And we really don't care what plugin's author say. They usually say "it's theme" because many of those plugins are poorly coded. We are sure that it's not theme and that's why we can't help.
  • Thanks for being super NOT helpful!
