Widgetized Sidebar in VC only works with delievered sidebars, not custom added

I have added a custom sidebar through the theme function called "Susan B - Areas", which has a custom menu and html block.

If i add this to any page in VC, nothing appears. If I add a standard delivered sidebar like "Blog|Article", it appears.

It appears that any custom added sidebars do not work with this shortcode, even though i can select it from the drop down.

Is this a bug?

Widgetized sidebar is not a shortcode. This is an option and shows only if you upload widget under Appearance > Widgets > Sliding Top | #1 & Sliding Top | #2 & Sliding Top | #3 & Sliding Top | #4. Only widgets from those 4 sections will show under widgetized areas.

This is incorrect.

I select your widget "Blog|Articles" and it shows in wigitized area VC code.

I will post screenshots, please review.

I found the problem I think.

Custom sidebars are not saving widgets in them.

Sending you the login info.

Sent you private message with login. Verified the Custom sidebars created in your theme do not save any widgets to them.

Maybe a setting or a bug?

What for you sent details? If sidebar is not saving widgets, it means you created sidebars where title contain special characters what is not allowed.

Ok, I created a sidebar with name "Susan B" no dash. The widgets now save, however they do not appear in widigitized sidebar.

So only the default sidebars will show u? anything custom added within theme panel will not work?

No, not only the default sidebar shows. Did you read topic about sidebar http://forum.muffingroup.com/betheme/discussion/10/how-to-create-sidebar-and-set-up-for-page and did it exactly as it was explained there?

I know how this works, but i wanted to use the Widgitized Sidebar VC Item and not the theme layout setting to display a sidebar. If that makes sense?

@etinteractive: Try to create a sidebar without any SPACE… had absolute the same Problem… Widgets weren't saved in custom sidebars created via BeTheme Options.

Name of my Custom Sidebar: "Blog All" - when i changed it to "BlogAll" it worked!
