Wordpress can't update and neither will Slider Revolution

Hi there, 

I keep getting this error message when trying to update the Slider Revolution plug in and wordpress 

Fatal error: Can't use function return value in write context in E:\Web\Wordpress_PACE\wp-content\plugins\revslider\includes\functions.class.php on line 1025

System detection encountered issues

A definition of a siteurl or homeurl was detected in your wp-config.php, but the file is not writable.

Set your wp-config.php to writable and reload this page.

It looks like the misconfiguration of your server/wordpress, please do what the error message says.
