Hey there,

Why are the 4 images displaying in a row displaying all pixellated as if they are low res images? When you click on them, they don't show pixellation anymore when they appear in the lightbox...

Are you using the "gallery" shortcode there? You should apply the size="full" attribute, as here, on the example on the bottom:

Oh, I see... but then they don't appear in nice little squares, they are all different sizes... can I still get them to get clipped into square shapes without the quality loss?

Hello,

yes, this is the standard wordpress gallery function to change the size of thumbnails.

Go to wordpress admin>settings>media and change the size of your thumbnail images, enable crop.

After you save, you also have to run the regeneration thumbnail plugin, you will find this plugin in wordpress admin>betheme>install plugins.

I followed your instructions, but I see no visible difference. I set the size of the thumbnail images to 300 instead of 150, but no change.

Remember, that if your images are not having 300px of one of the dimensions (width or height), then they will not change, they will stay at the same size.

Take a look, if your images are having proper image sizes.
