Is it possible to get a category filter like this on my blog page?

Hello,

You mean, to filter it without refreshing the page?

It's a jQuery filtering, just enable it in the Theme Options > Blog, Portfolio & Shop > Blog

Also, remember that "Posts per page" value should be really huge for this kind of functionality.

I got a followup question tho.
Is there a way to hide sub-categories?
For example: I made a category with "Food" as Main. Can I hide this category?

Sadly, it will not be possible with the theme options.

You would have to create a CSS code which will be hiding that category.
