Wanted to create a portfolio page but, I am missing out something

Hello,

I'm not sure what is your problem exactly.

Just create another page, go to the Theme Options > Blog, Portfolio & Shop > Portfolio and set up the main portfolio page there.

Then, you can add your "Portfolio items" in the WP Dashboard > Portfolio > Add New - after creating some items, they will appear on the page you created.

I wanted include some screenshots, but the image hosting is not working right now - sorry about that.

1) Create, and change the template of portfolio page:

2) Assign the main portfolio page:

3) Create new porftolio item:

4) It should appear on your main portfolio page:

https://prnt.sc/s3636v

If it won't help you, I suggest to disable all of the plugins, clear the cache and check, if the issue still exists.

Where did the image come from on the last screenshot?

What made it pick just one image when presumably the media library has more than this?

Do you have to create a separate Portfolio for every image to be added to a Portfolio?

I am missing something.

The portfolio feature is not a media library listing, they are two different things.

To make the portfolio item display, you have to create it (Portfolio > Add New)

And then, on the page which is set as a main portfolio page all of the portfolio items will appear.

The media library is just an image and video storage.
