Sections are applying styles across other sections?

I've been using this theme for some years now and haven't ran into this issue but I am creating an entirely new section, changing the background color and it is applying across different sections. This makes no sense to me and I could use some help. I am also choosing fullwidth as the section option for the bottom yellow section and it will not do what it is supposed to, it is still saying boxed.
