Sidebar not showing on search page

I have tried setting the sidebar to active in the theme settings and i have looked at the code (and the sidebar code appears), but no sidebar displays on the search results page.

Did you select the side of the search page in the Theme Options > Sidebars?

Also, did you populate with content the "Page | Search" tab in the Appearance > Widgets?
