Site Speed and Help Adjusting a Window/Wrapper

I am stumped -- I am a bit of a novice at this but managed to get a website up for my family.  The problem I am having is that on other templates I have used, I don't have the same problem with site speed so I am guessing the issue lies with this template and my inexperience. Appreciate any help insight (explain it to me like I am 10 --please:) 

Biggest problem is that is super slow (and after running google tools for site speed, I got a lot of error messages and I don't even know where to begin making the changes.

The other issue is I cannot get the wrapper/window to adjust to the column as the browser window changes. I don't know if the issue is with the text or the box.

Hey,

the site speed is really up to the user. We tested our theme and pre-built websites and we do have good scores.

It depends on how much plugins you are using, how big are the images, do you minimize/optimize code etc. The list is very long.

We can help you with those wrappers being the same height. Follow those instructions: 

The equal height of wraps is used to position elements on: top, middle or bottom in wraps. In order to achieve this you need to:
1. Edit your page, and go to the muffin builder. Edit a section and under the advanced>style select 'equal height of wraps'. See screens:

2. Now edit each wrap in that section and set the desired vertical align(top, middle or bottom). See screens:

Hi Bryan, I was able to make those changes but I am still seeing this when i make the window smaller. It's as if the image is shrinking but the other elements (text, images) to the right are not.

You have to set it to be on middle https://prnt.sc/tt1twz to center (vertically) it, but if you want to make it equal height to the element on right, you have to set this image as a background image of wrap.
