Installing Revolution Slider

I have tried installing the plugin Revolution Slider prior to import a prebuilt website template as recommended,  but  received the following message after attempting. And to answer the obvious question no I have never installed the plugin before and I flushed my cache. I look forward to your assistance in this matter.

Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

Destination folder already exists. /var/www/wp-content/plugins/revslider/

Plugin installation failed.

Hey,

you must have had this plugin installed before and it causes an issue.

You will have to go to your FTP and remove that folder in the plugins directory.

how do I get ftp access?

Please contact your hosting provider. He will help you with getting in, or even he will remove that revslider folder for you.
