Styling post title

Hi!

i would like to style the background-colour of a post title (with a special category).

i almost did it, but i can't delete the left margin/padding(of the red section, see picture below) ...

here is the css i tried:

h1.entry-title {
   color: blue !important;
   background-color: red !important;
   width: 100%;
   padding: 20px 0 20px 0;
   width: 1220px;}

Do i have to adress s. th. else?

We strongly suggest not to do it, because it could make your website not RWD friendly and UX won't be that good as by the default.

Of course, you can get rid of that space, but you have to remove the margin and set the width to 100% for .section-post-header .section_wrapper, .post-header

But, we strongly suggest not to change it.
