Elementor does not edit a pre-build website that is labled as Elementor

The reason I purchased this theme was the ability to import a pre-built website so I would have a foundation to modify and build off of.   I found out that you can't edit anything with WPBakery which was disappointing then I imported the Elementor "enameled" pre-build website and now I find that that also will not edit existing pages, posts, etc. Can any of your pre-built websites be edited?
