Vulnerability WPBakery Plugin version 6.4.0

Hi there, we have Betheme licences for many sites but recently discovered that the WPBakery plugin has a vulnerability and needs to be updated. But your newest update only has WPBakery Plugin version 6.4.0.

When will you update the plugin or what can we do instead? We use the plugin quite a lot and can not turn it off....

Unfortunately, all you need to do is to be patient, and wait for newest verion.

If you want instant updates, you have to purchase the plugins separately.

When I try to update WPBakery from in the admin, I get an error.

An error occurred while updating WPBakery Page Builder: To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit Settings to activate your WPBakery Page Builder. Got WPBakery Page Builder in theme?

But I do have my license for BeTheme activated, so what do I need to do in order to get WPBakery to update?  Same issue with LayerSlider as well.

you can install the bundled plugin from betheme>install plugins
If the newest version is not available yet, please wait for it. The plugins you buy with the theme are not premium plugins. If you want instant updates, you have to purchase the plugins separately.

Thank you, that method did work for the update for 2 of 3 plugins.

Still having an issue with Layer Slider which last had a release on August 3, 2020.

This is the error I am receiving: License activation is required to receive updates. Please read our online documentation to learn more.

What version of Layer Slider do you have?
Also, please tell me what the version of your WordPress and Betheme is.

I would have to check all my installations (I have license numbers for each), but the one in particular that I tested yesterday after you mentinoned it is Layer Slider 6.7.6.  It hasn't updated in a long time for some reason.

WordPress 5.5.1 & BeTheme 21.8.7

Please, make a backup of your site using this plugin:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

Then try to uninstall and install Layer Slider.
You won't lose any data because they are stored in database.
After that you will have the newest version of Layer Slider.
