Fonts change half way down a page.

Have a long scrolling page with multiple posts. About half way down the page the fonts change in the columns from being a thin setting to being bold .

How do I get the font setting in the columns to stay the same as they are in the top half columns, ie thin?

Check, all your Columns items you used especially the broken ones.
Like I said, be sure that all HTML tags are placed and closed properly.
