old version and update

hi, i have an old version Version: 16.1

and how to update to the latest version?

I'm not seeing an auto update.

Do i update first with the latest Wordpress version before i update the theme?

Hi,

Here is an instruction on how to update the theme:

Theme updates will not delete your content unless you have changed the files directly in which case we suggest using a child theme.

We also recommend creating a backup file.

Please remove the theme completely from your theme folder and install a fresh copy. Do not overwrite files.

by the way , we are using muffin builder instead of wpbakery. can we just disable wpbakery?

That is right. Just do not replace the existing files.

If you do not use WPB, than there are no obstacles to disable it, so if you want, you can do that.
