Search and 3rd party tools

We are attempting to use a knowledgebase plugin (https://herothemes.com/plugins/heroic-wordpress-knowledge-base/). Unfortunately the way search is implemented in your theme breaks the knowledge base search in a couple of ways.
- ajax recommended results don't load/display in a dropdown below the search.
- the results page does not appear to be relative to the knowledge base content, this is the query it posts: /?s=apple+pay&ht-kb-search=1&lang=
When we switch to a default theme like 2020 it works as expected.
Is the way you implemented search in betheme "standard"? or is it configured different in someway?

Sorry, but we did not test this plugin with the theme. Our policy states that we do not support third party plugins or custom code so unfortunately, we cannot be of any help to you.

Hi Phil,
I have roughly 20 licenses to betheme across 2 accounts.
My issue is that any time I deal with anything search related it appears the way betheme has implemented search things just don't work as expected. Any insight into how you have configured search etc would be appreciated rather than getting dismissed behind a policy of they mentioned 3rd partys not going to make an attempt to help or point in a useful direction.
Your theme is incredibly flexible but when it comes to search it appears you have made it inflexible to enable some appearance checkbox's to work for the look of it when its functionality is way more important.
Search is a critical piece of any website.

Betheme is using basic WordPress searching and we did not modified it.
If you would like to improve it, you should contact your webdeveloper.
