Sticky Items for Portfolio

Hi,

We would like to display some of our portfolio items as sticky, so that they display on the top of the Portfolio page / Portfolio archive category.

Is there any setting for it?

Sorry, but I quite do not understand.

You want to have portfolio items on the top and to be sticky when you scroll through them?

Or just to display particular items on the top?

Oh, thanks for pointing it out,

I mean particular portfolio items that are marked as Sticky should remain at the top of The Loop:

I see this option is possible for blog posts, but I did not find it for the portfolio.

Sorry, but unfortunately, there is no such option to achieve it with Portfolio items.

As a workaround, you can create special category for the portfolio items you want to display at the top of the page, put a Portfolio item on the main portfolio page, and select this category in item options.

Thanks Phil,

Then I will look for a workaround with other plugins and custom code.

It would be nice if the is_sticky() function would be also included in the portfolio too as is for the blog, along with the expire date. Maybe you can pass it over for future improvements.
