Favicon doesn't change

My favicon does not change it although I have added a new one and updated it several times, it still shows the old one.

Please always attach a link to your website so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost), then our help will be limited. You will have to contact us when the page is online. Also, please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us the link.

Moreover, please, turn off all of the plugins, refresh cache, and check if the new favicon appears.

You can also tell me where did you set this icon.

I set it: Betheme; Betheme Settings; global setting; generally; Icon; favicon

the picture I elected ist 32x32px

As you can see on the following screenshot, your favicon is .png, and it should be .ico.

Please, change it to .ico with the following tool, and check if this issue still appears.

okay, i did that now. But now I cannot upload the file to Wordpress because it does not accept it.

Is there any error message when you try to upload it? If yes, please, send a screenshot showing this error.

You can also contact your hosting provider and ask them if your server does not block files with .ico extensions.
