Update outdated version
I recently inherited a website that was running on a theme version released beginning of 2017. It has never been updated from that time. With the latest release on the 7th of April, the theme is now not functioning properly, more specific the revolution slider. The developer of this website has no access to the licence code for updates and he no longer works for the person I took this over from. I have bought the latest theme version download and want to know if I install and activate the new theme if it will fix the issue?

Installing a fresh version of Betheme may fix your issue, but I cannot assure you that.
Before doing it, please, do a backup of your website with the Duplicator plugin, install a new theme, and if the issue persists, please, send us a link to your website so I could take a closer look at it.
