Issue with gravity forms

I am using gravity forms and have a spacing issue on my forms. Gravity forms support indicated that the problem is due to the theme, as follows:

"The extra spacing that you're seeing is due to your theme overriding the default styles for the multiple inputs, including a margin-bottom of 20px... the theme is adding the same CSS properties to multiple input types without using any proper CSS targeting to check if the inputs are for theme elements or not, so they're overriding the styles globally for all those inputs.

You will want to contact with your theme developer to get assistance to avoid your theme creating the conflict with its custom styling and prevent doing it again in a future theme update."

Can someone help/advise?
