unable to edit pages
Bought the template and install with demo site
trying to edit demo pages with new content - was unable with either visual Composer / Elementor / or WP backery page builder !!
Thought it was because no full version of the above so bought Elementor pro to be able to edit
Still unable to edit pages

You have imported a pre-built website created with Muffin Builder, and it is not possible to edit content created in one builder with another.
I noticed that you are using a Handyman 3 demo. If you do not want to use the Muffin Builder, you will have to install it again, but this time select the Elementor while importing.

happy to use Muffin builder but it is not an option for me
If I reinsatll will I loose all the work done to date ?
If you reset the database while reinstalling, then yes, all your work will be gone. But if you skip it, and select to import the content only, then only pages will be imported.
You will have to remove manually pages created with the Muffin Builder, but changes in theme options will stay untouched.
