Modification problems

Hello there,

I bought the Be Theme a month ago and rebuild my website, but I really struggle with customizing my website.

I use Actor Theme and I need to change some small things in the CSS codes (the size of my logo, font's color, etc.) but it just doesn't work. I entered the new CSS codes, but they don't take place and go back to "normal" after refreshing or in a day.

Could you help me resolve those problems, please?

Best regards

  • Hi,

    Please always attach a link to your website so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost), then our help will be limited. You will have to contact us when the page is online. Also, please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us the link.

    It is always a good idea to also attach a screenshot showing your issue.

    Do you put these CSS code in Betheme -> Theme options -> Custom CSS & JS -> CSS?

    Are you using some caching plugins/tools? They may hold the settings from before your changes, so you should turn them off when you modify something.

    Thanks

  • Oh, sorry, I forgot the link to my site. It's www.koprivshki.com

    Yes, I put the CSS codes in Betheme -> Theme options -> Custom CSS & JS -> CSS and when it didn't take effect I add them under the muffin builder on each page.

    There may be some errors in the codes. I tried to change the red rows, but I can't find those elements in the menu. As I said those codes worked for a while, but then they came back to normal.

    Yes, I use the classic plugins for BeTheme.

    Thanks

  • In most cases, you should add !important to make it work.

    Also, you must be careful if every code has an open and close bracket and if you are pointing to the correct item.

  • Thank you very much, but that color is not a problem. I can change it. The problem is here down:

    How can I change this one permently, please?

  • And also the logo size of all pages. I gave it 80px, but it stay at 60px

  • 1) The title of the posts is between <h4> tag so you can change its color in Betheme - > Theme options -> Colors -> Headings.

    But if you do not want to change the color of all <h4> tags on your website, but only for this particular item, please, use the following CSS code:

    .blog_slider_ul .item_wrapper .desc h4 a{
       color: #fdfdfd!important;
    }

    2) There is an option to control the logo height. Please, go to Betheme -> Theme options -> Global -> Logo, and there you will find it.

    Notice that your logo will not be bigger than its original size, so if it has 60px of height, it will not be increased to 80px, and you will have to upload a larger one.

  • Thank you very much for that useful information.

    Could you give me some tips on how to adjust the mobile view of the website because the default doesn't look very good and I'd like to adapt the media position and text size, as well, please?

    Best Regards

  • And another issue I have is with the Map.

    I put the embed code as showed but on the site looks like this:

    I tried different settings for the map and API but still the same. I worked when I did it in the first place, but since then it looks only like on the pic up.

    Thanks

    All the best

  • 1) To adjust the mobile view, you can use the responsive visibility option of the sections.

    So you can create two similar sections, but one will be visible only on desktop, and the second only on a mobile.

    2) I notice that there are HTML errors on this page. Please open your website in Firefox HTML mode (CTRL+U) and check the HTML errors you got. Please fix them first, and check if the map displays correctly.

    Thanks!

  • Hello again and thank you for your answers.

    The first thing is fixed, but I didn't really understand how to fix the second one. :)

    I use google's browser and don't have firefox. Is it possible to fix the map problem with google's browser, please?

    Best regards

  • Unfortunately, the Google Chrome browser does not have this feature, and the best option would be to install Firefox temporarily.

    Please, check every item where you used HTML tags if they are placed and closed correctly.

    Thanks

  • Hello again.

    I have installed Firefox and followed your advice, but I couldn't find the HTML mistake. As long as there are too many lines and I'm not an IT specialist I don't know where to look.

    Can you precise it for me, please?

  • Please send us WordPress dashboard access privately thru the contact form, which is on the right side at http://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact, and I will point you to where the error is on your backend and how to fix it.

    Oh, probably I did something wrong ... :)

    I sent it through here:

    And receive a message like that:

    You can see the user name and the password there and the site is www.koprivshki.com http://www.koprivshki.com/en/home/

    It's a WordPress site so I log in through WordPress.

    Let me know if I need to send you the mail again, please?

    Thanks

  • When you send dashboard access, always attach a link to the forum discussion you are referring to.

    Also, I logged in to your dashboard with the login credentials from the screenshot (which I removed for safety), and I could not check the issue because this account does not have admin rights.

    Can you give this account admin rights or send me access with these privileges, please?

    Moreover, I noticed that you do not have the newest version of WP. Can you update it, please?

    Thanks

  • Hello again :)

    I changed the user as Administrator and I tried to update my WordPress but still doesn't work. I wrote to the website host because they did something the last time.

    I'll update it as soon as I can.

    Thanks

  • I have checked this page again, and I cannot see the HTML errors anymore.

    But I noticed that you are using a couple of unsupported plugins. After deactivating them, the map is working.

    Please, turn them one by one and check which one causes it.

    You can see all supported plugins under the following link:

    Thanks

  • OK,

    Thank you very much for your support! :)

    Have a nice weekend

  • Hello again,

    I hope you had an amazing weekend! :)

    Could you tell me how can I save a custom Section in Muffin Builder that I can use later as a template easily when I need it, please?

    Thanks :)

  • I hope you had an amazing weekend! :)

    Thanks!

    To create such a template, please, open in WP panel Templates -> Add New, and there you will be able to create it.

    After that, open Import/Export in the Muffin Builder, and there you will find your template.

    Thanks

  • Great!!!

    Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate. :)

    Is there and option to adjust the featured image of the subheader on a mobile device as well, please?

    For the moment it looks like that and I'd really like to have the whole image there.

    Or maybe there is another possibility to add an image in the subheader for each page which I haven't found yet?

    Thanks and have a wonderful day :)

  • I tried to visit your website but it seems that you have another theme activated.

    Can you switch back to Betheme, please? I want to take a closer look at this image.

    Thanks

  • Hello there.

    I'd love to see my site as well, but it seems that after upgrading my account at my host somehow the site was hacked and it doesn't exist anymore...

  • You are not even able to log in to your WP dashboard?

    Because it seems that the login panel works.

    If you have any updates on that situation, please, let me know.

    Thanks

  • No, I can't.

    I got the message that the username doesn't exist.

    If you have any idea how could I solve that problem I'll be more than happy to hear it. :)

    Thanks

  • Please, check the following link, and try to restore your account following the tips from there.

    Thanks

  • Hello again.

    Finally, I got my site back.

    Could you help me adjust the featured imaged size of a single page on mobile devices, please?

    Thanks.

    Best regards

  • Please, paste the following code to the Custom CSS section for that page.

    @media (max-width: 767px){
       #Header_wrapper{
         background-image: url("https://support.muffingroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/besvg.svg")!important;
     }
    }

    But instead of the image in the code, upload your image that will suit the mobile display.

    Thanks
