Header and footer

Hello

I want the header to only show on some pages. How can I remove it form select pages

Also I only want the copyright bar in the footer. How can I remove the widget area?

Hi,

to remove header from some pages, you must use below css:

.page-id-xxx #Header { display: none !important; }

where xxx is page ID.

But to remove widget area, please use below css:

#Footer .widgets_wrapper { display: none !important; }

Hover on "Edit" button under Pages and in bottom section you have link to page where page ID is. Also you can check this via Firebug.

This css works for sure. You did something wrong if it does not work. If you will send us url to page where you did it, we'll check what you did wrong.

ok - my id is 7383
so i pasted into css of the page

.page-id-7383 #Header { display: none !important; }

but when i update page the css appears - do in need to change something in options

No, you don't need to change anything in options. Just css is enough. What exactly disappear? Because we do not understand your question.

oh so do i put the css in theme options or in css box of actual page - i was putting it in actual page
