Speeding up site - maps.googleapis.com/maps-api-v3

I don't have googlemaps on my site at all. I'd like to disable it completely. Google Page Speed insights show that some of the larger downloads involved maps.googleapis.com/maps-api-v3 javascripts.

I'm assuming this comes from the theme (because I don't have any plugins that use Google maps or a Google maps API key. I can't find a place to disable it. Can I comment it out of the theme using my child theme?

    Hello Jane,

    If you do not use anywhere the maps item, or iframe code for map then the code for loading maps will not appear in the theme code.

    I tested it with the latest version of BeTheme and in source code the google maps code does not appear by the default.
