I'm trying to upload my favicon. It is favicon.ico and I'm getting an error message that says "Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons". I've been using this theme for 3-4 years and have never run into this issue until the latest update. Can someone help me resolve this?

Please install the Disable Real MIME Check plugin, and try to upload your favicon then.

Does BeTheme have any plans to allow WebP images now that WordPress allows that file format?

Since WebP files are supported with WordPress, there are no obstacles to use them with Betheme.

So if you want to use the images with this extension, you can go ahead.

Update. I also have the Disable Real MIME Check plugin installed. Any ideas why I can't upload the image?

Is your WordPress up-to-date?

WP WebP support came out with version 5.8, and since it, you should encounter no problems with using this file extension.
