Hello,
Sadly, it won't be possible to place the category in this place in blog slider, it's just not prepared to do such thing.
To do that, you would have to edit the theme files, which unfortunately, we do not support.
We provide support only for understanding how theme works, fixing theme bugs and minor css tweaks.
