NextGEN Gallery causing strict errors in beTheme

As we are getting many strict errors while usinge NextGEN gallery we asked NextGEN for help, but they think it is a beTheme issue since these errors dissapear when using e.g. twentyfifteen.
we see e.g. the following errors, I hop you can help us:

Hi,

if you want to use other gallery then is already included into theme, you must deactivate current one. You can do this under Theme options > Addons & Plugins > Addons section.

you mean we should set Gallery Shortcode | Disable to ON?

that does't make a difference, I still get when opening a gallery on the frontpage:
