I have the same issue as you and I want my header to be transparent as well but there is nothing in the theme that helps me do that! it is one of the basic features!
Please send us WordPress dashboard access privately thru the contact form, which is on the right side at http://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact and we will check what might be the reason.

Hey,
please switch from Default to Sticky while editing header and you will find there an option to disable sticky header.
It doesn't seem to work... the header remains visible and actionable while you scroll...

I have checked this website, and the header does not become sticky while scrolling.
