How do I add Custom javascript files?

I'm upgrading from old version of BeTheme and I had custom javascripts in a custom-js.js file in the betheme\js folder. Do I just add my "old" custom js file to the betheme\js folder or does the current V25.1.8 theme allow me to do otherwise?

You can place your custom JS in Betheme -> Theme options -> Custom CSS & JS -> JS.
