Integrating Google Fonts violates data protection! ??
Hi there,
I have learned that a law has ruled that "the integration of Google Fonts violates data protection". Can you tell me something about that, since I access the existing Google Fonts in your BeThemes for all my projects.
Thanks for help

Hi,
I have read some articles about it, and it seems that this problem exists only when the fonts are loaded from the Google Server.
In the theme options, you have an option to download the fonts to your server, so they are loaded directly from your server, not Google.
You can find this option in Betheme -> Theme options -> Performance.
Best regards
Hi,
You write, "In the theme options, you have the option to download the fonts to your server, so they load directly from your server, not Google."
If I do this and click Download files, the fonts will probably be uploaded to the server.
Do I have to do anything else so that the fonts on the website use the fonts from the server, or does this then run automatically.
Sorry for my ignorance and thanks for your help
Best regards and have a nice weekend
No, you do not have to do anything else.
This option will download the fonts you set in Betheme -> Theme options -> Fonts -> Family.
Best regards,
And have a nice weekend too
Thanks,
can I integrate the fonts from dynamic Google Fonts to local Google Fonts directly and without much effort via BeThemes settings in BeThemes?
thanks
That is right. ?
Best regards
Hi there,
could you help me with this. I proceeded as in your screen, clicked on "Cache fonts local" under Google fonts and then on download, then on "Disable" to remove the GoggleFonts. Unfortunately, the website under GoogleChrom /Sources still shows me the fonts and how do I access the downloaded fonts to put them back on the website.

Thanks for your help
Do not disable them, but leave the option Cache fonts local after downloading.
The fonts you choose in Theme options -> Fonts -> Family are downloaded and placed in the locations where you set them.
In my case, the fonts downloaded fonts are: Jost, Bodoni Moda, and DM Mono. They go to my server, and I do not have to do anything else with them.
If you see in the website source that the fonts are still downloaded from the Google server, this could mean that some plugin like Slider Revolution uses them.
Best regards
Hi,
ok i did it as you described. I noticed that the Google fonts are no longer visible in the website source, but are still on the website.
This means that if I don't change the font path, the system automatically puts the fonts in the right place for me, is that correct?
A second question you write, if the fonts are still in the Revolution slider, the Google font will continue to be displayed in the website source. Can you also access your downloaded fonts in the slider, or how do I solve the problem if the slider should stay in the website?
Many thanks in advance for the great support
They are visible on the website because now they are taken not from the Google Fonts server but yours.
So, yes, the fonts are assigned automatically.
Please, see the tutorial showing how to use your fonts for Slider Revolution.

Hi,
I did as you described. Despite Slider Revolution removal, a font "fonts.gstatic.com" is still displayed. Where does this come from, or how do I get it from the source entry?
https://www.comanchi.de/
thanks
Please, disable your plugins one by one, and check which one uses the google fonts.
Thanks
Hi,
I have outsourced all Google fonts on the website https://www.leckerleben.de/. I also discovered Google Analytics under Sources, does that have to be removed as well?
thanks
It depends if you want to use that or not.
The decision is up to you.
Best regards
I'm not sure where it came from in the source. If the customer doesn't want to use it, I'd like to know where to take it out so that it no longer appears in the source view.
thanks for your effort
Google Analytics can be found in Betheme -> Theme options -> SEO.
There is also a possibility that it is added via a plugin, and you would have to deactivate it in that case.
