Cannot register theme

I have installed the theme, downloaded my purchase code from Envato, and pasted it into the theme registration box. When I click the button for 'Register Theme' the browser looks like it is doing something, then the code disappears and the theme doesn't register. Very frustrating when I'm on a deadline with a client! Any ideas?

Update - I'm on a Mac and have tried this on both Chrome and Safari browsers and nothing works
