Please, turn off all of the plugins, refresh your cache, and check if the problem persists.

Moreover, if you use a child theme, switch to parent, and recheck it.

Also, please, tell me how did you create these brands.

You need to change the Be Shop Attributes widget to Filter Products by Attribute, choose the attribute, and change the Display type to Dropdown.
