Child theme interfering with shortcodes and other functions with product plugin

Hi - I received this from the developer of the Etoile Product Catalog Plugin and they suggested I reach out to you for help.

From the looks of it, your child theme is conflicting with the styles of our plugin. The default view displays correctly when using a default WordPress theme.

Would you be able to get in touch with the author of your theme and see if there is a way to disable the "<pre>" tags from being used on specific WordPress pages? Or at least the option to render shortcodes without enclosing it in <pre> tags.

It also seems to be adding class names of its own (e.g. as__p) onto the HTML of our plugin.

Please let me know if you can assist with this thank you!

  • Hi,

The child themes, which can be downloaded from the ThemeForest with our package, are completely clean.

Modifications in the child theme are done by a person who decides to modify some theme functionality, mostly the person who manages the website.

Moreover, please, note that we did not test this plugin with our theme, and our policy states that we do not support third-party plugins or custom code.

    Thanks
