Custom Post Type

Is there a way to get a Custom Post with it's own custom categories working with the Blog Slider. My site would be a lot cleaner if I could split up where some of the posts are coming as there are hundreds or thousands of posts. So if I build a Custom Post called Resources and it had it's own categories 'Resource Categories'.

What you ask for requires file customization which in reference to Item Support Policy is not allowed. http://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy

There are a lot of tutorials showing how to create custom post types, and you can base them on the Portfolio which files you can find in the Betheme folder.

But if you are not familiar with such modifications I recommend contacting your web developer.
