Blog Number of Posts

We are using the Classic One Column format for the blog, and no matter what number of "posts number" we enter, the blog shows 8 posts. We are able to even set it to two posts in BeBuilder and see the change, but then when we view the change, it has not changed. Is there a reason why the posts number may not be working for the blog field? Thank you.

Please, turn off all of the plugins, refresh your cache, and check if the problem persists.

Moreover, if you use a child theme, switch to parent, and recheck it.
