Migration issue - stating I have the wrong php version
Hi I am trying to migrate our updated website at https://liasidik.com/newsite/ to the root folder - to replace the old site.
I used multiple methods that have always worked with other themes.
When I finally migrated all files to the root, and logged into the wp-admin. I find a warning saying I have the wrong php version - I think it was saying I had php version 5 or something... and a number of other issues as displayed in the Betheme System status section, I forget exactly because I was stressing out trying to revert back to the old subfolder...
I think it was PHP Max Input Vars and a few other things.
As you can see it is fine (while it is in the subfolder)
I tried to edit the .htaccess but nothing worked.. (maybe I didn't write the php script properly?)
It even got to the stage where if I opened liasidik.com it would download a php file...
All very confusing and stressful since I need to get this done like days ago.
Really appreciate your help in this.
I noticed a few other posts here about migrating...
I added the Duplicator plugin, but after yesterday I am a bit traumatized to try it until I ask you guys if you have any ideas on the matter.
Is there a simple video tutorial on how to migrate to the root using your theme or the Duplicator plugin you can suggest?
Cheers

Hello,
Please share with us your PHPINFO file. It's really necessary right now.
If you do not know how to do it, please check this topic:

Thanks
Hi.. just to inform.. I have not tried to re migrate again just yet, was waiting for your advise/direction.
But I created the PHPINFO file in the subfolder containing the site I want to migrate..
and another PHPINFO file in the root.
Thanks.
Not sure if this is helpful or the problem.
Seems the .htaccess in the subfolder 'newsite' is fairly limited.
Whereas the .htaccess file in the root is quite long.
I think that is where I increased some of the settings as reflected in the 'betheme server environment'.
Although php memory limit is 512 setting is set in the wp-config file in the subfolder.. not the root.
With all that in mind, do you think I should remove everything from the root.. except the .htaccess to replace the one in the subfolder newsite? i.e. delete that?
Please, contact your hosting provider and ask if they can restore you to a default .htaccess file.
Moreover, please, ask them to change the server environment values to the required ones, and try to migrate your website then.
Best regards
I managed to do what I suggested and it worked...
Although all image links are still using the old site url, kind of a pain.
I tried using Better Search Replace, Velvet Blues Update URLs
And even manually via mysql.. still not working... not sure if it's a cache thing or what...
On another mater, how to 'center align' the blog page filter? I had it working before the migration.. seems now it is left aligned.
1) If the links are still pointing to the old domain after the transfer of your website, please use this plugin.
http://muffingroup.com/plugins/mfn-migrate-cb.zip
It will help you change all the URLs in the Muffin Builder and Theme Options at once without having to switch each one manually.
You can also use this tool when switching to SSL and wusingHTTPS.
2) I could replicate this problem in my environment and pass this problem to the dev team.
Thanks
2) The fix for it will be included in the upcoming update.
For now as a temporary workaround, please, put the following CSS code in Betheme -> Theme options -> Custom CSS & JS -> CSS:
Thanks
Hi thanks, I will check after I am able to enter the wp-admin..
Seems there is a critical error on two sites I am using betheme, both were workign just fine a couple hrs ago.
I already sent a ticket about it. Hopefully it is something we can fix.
Hello,
Did you get the response of the problem?
It looks like the problem is with the latest WP version (6.1) and older BeTheme version.
To fix that, you have to get into the FTP, remove old directory of BeTheme and upload the latest one from the themeforest, after that you will get your wp-admin work correctly.
thanks
Hi thanks, yes, you guys are legends... (regarding the update fix)
And thanks. I will check the css once I have updated the theme.
