Widget blog thumbnail removal

I am using the blog post widget on the homepage but dont want to display a thumbnail, seems that in the post when you add a featured image to show a post thumb this also displays in the widget. can I stop this?

to remove thumbnail from "Recent posts" widget, please use below code:

.Recent_posts ul li .photo { display: none !important; }

Sure

Each css code should be pasted under Theme options > Custom CSS & JS > Custom CSS section.

Thanks, didnt work i'm afraid. see here, want to get rid of the image on the recent posts.

Previously you asked about "Recent posts" widget, but on your site we do not see this image. Instead, we see regular post image which is on the right side under the circles.

Sorry if I wasnt clear, I have just checked again, its actually the blog widget from the visual composer. U want to display without the image.

So if you mean Blog item, then you can remove image with below code:

.blog_wrapper .post-item .post-photo-wrapper { display: none !important; }
.blog_wrapper .post-item .post-desc-wrapper { width: 100% !important; }

ha, that turns it off in the blog as well listing page! I want to keep that its just on the homepage blog widget I want to remove it

To remove from homepage only, you must set class name for section where the item is and use the same css but with additional class name:

.section-class-name .blog_wrapper .post-item .post-photo-wrapper { display: none !important; }
.section-class-name .blog_wrapper .post-item .post-desc-wrapper { width: 100% !important; }
