tinymce is not defined when attempting to edit content field with BeBuilder

Hello,

I'm using the latest version of BeTheme 26.6.5 on WordPress 6.1.1

When I attempt to edit a page with the BeBuilder, I find that I can not successfully edit the content fields. My console is logging the following error:

Uncaught ReferenceError: tinymce is not defined at create (field_visual_vb.js?ver=26.6.5:135:11)

I have all plugins disabled at the moment, running the parent theme with no customizations.

Thanks,

Ben

  • Thanks, I have submitted the requested information via the contact form.

  • Does it happen on a particular page?

I have checked that, and it works correctly.

    Best regards

  • Hi Phil,

That's really odd. On my end, the problem is not isolated to a specific page.

I've attahed a screenshot to show that the tinymce editor is not loading for me.

Does the BeTheme/BeBuilder have any type of built in caching or something that may be getting stuck on my end?

    Thanks,

    Ben

  • There is a caching option in Betheme -> Theme options -> Performance.

It should not cause it, but if you have it enabled, you can test without it.

Please also check if the same thing happens on another browser.

    Thanks

  • Hey Phil,

I tried multiple browsers and made sure it wasn't a browser caching issue.

It seems that this is an issue between my ISP & the web server. Some type of caching/optimization that's not clearing. I believe the problem originated in the child theme and was stuck in some type of cache. Using a VPN, I'm able to get tinymce to load properly.

Thanks for your help. We can close this ticket.

    Thanks again,

    Ben
