How do I remove header? + How do I set height of rows?

I have a side menu in my website. However, in the website it still shows a header. Please tell me how to remove it. In addition I want to have a large picture as contents with in the middle of that, in overlay a text box. However now it doesn't let me set the width of the row. All in all it now looks like as per attached. Many thanks in advance.

Ok. So what else you need? Still want to remove header? From specific or all pages?
