Offer Slider Order by Date

Hello, I am using the offer slider to show an image with some text that will retain the formatting (unlike a post excerpt which removes any formatting). I need to have the slider start with the most current slide by date- is this possible? If not do you know how I can create something that would display the information as I have it in the image:
