Previous/Next buttons missing on single product page

Dear Support,

I have created a custom template for the single product page, but the previous/next buttons are missing. They are not showing up and I don't see a way to add them. Is this because I am using a custom template, since they do appear when the default settings are used. Is there any way to add them on the custom template.

Unfortunately, there is no setting to activate that.
