I generated favicons in favicon.io The only file that has an .ico extension is 32x32. I uploaded a 512 x 512 png that now seems to work in both windows & iPad ios. So ok now.
I tried to upload favicon.io but got an error message. See screenshot 2. Not your site says favicon should be 512 x 512. I'm not sure what the size of this one is.

The file should have an extension .ico. Some browsers handle other ones like .png, but still, others have problems with it.
To generate .ico file, you can use the following website: Favicon Generator.

In your website source, I can still see that your favicon has a .png extension.
Did you change it to .ico?

I tried to upload an ico but got the error message shown in previous reply that I can't upload an ico file.
Please install and activate the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-real-mime-check/.
After you will be able to upload and use .ico files.
